HOW WE HELP

Projects we support

The Kisii Prison chaplain recently reached out to Open Road Prophets with an ongoing request from the Christian community within the prison: the need for a dedicated facility to carry out baptisms.

During our most recent visit to Kisii Prison, we were privileged to meet with the warden and have an in-depth discussion about the ongoing support and projects Open Road Prophets has been involved in within the facility.

For the past year, Open Road Prophets has had the privilege of working alongside Pastor Jarred Adams and his wife Winnie.

Elizabeth and her husband Daniel live in Oyugis, near Crystal Springs School, with their seven children. Their home was a small, two-room mud-walled structure with a tin roof and no foundations.

Our second Boda Boda repair day in Oyugis was another fantastic success, with an excellent turnout from the local riding community.

Open Road Prophets has been working extensively in the Oyugis area, a sub-county of Homa Bay, as the heart of many of our projects.

We had the privilege of being at Kisii Prison to take part in the Easter celebrations — a truly meaningful and uplifting experience.

Our first Boda Boda repair day was a milestone event — not only for Open Road Prophets but also for the region, and we believe it was the first of its kind in this part of Kenya.

Open Road Prophets recently visited a community near Rongo where a local school and the wider surrounding population had long struggled with reliable access to fresh water.

Crystal Springs School is now officially open, marking an incredibly exciting milestone for the community and everyone involved with Open Road Prophets.

Open Road Prophets was honoured to partner with Kisii Prison for our Christmas initiative this year. During a recent visit, we asked the inmates and staff what a traditional Kenyan Christmas treat would be, and they told us chapatti.
