Crystal Springs School
Open Road Prophets is proud to partner with Crystal Springs School in Oyugis, a beacon of hope founded by Tobias and Benta Ogweno.
With incredible determination and faith, Tobias and Benta personally borrowed money to buy the land and built the first classrooms using whatever materials were available.
Their dream was to provide quality education and create opportunities for a brighter future in a community that had long been without access to proper schooling.
When we met the Ogwenos, there was an instant connection. Through Open Road Prophets, we were able to help clear the remaining debt on the land, and provide funding for the construction of new infant classrooms and the creation of a safe and joyful playground area.
Temporary junior school classrooms have also been built, and we continue to raise the funds needed for their permanent completion.
The new facilities have now been open for their first full school year, and over 180 children are receiving a quality education — learning, thriving, and building the foundations for a better future for themselves and their community.
